Jaguar XFR-S Sportbrake revealed:

We all love super-saloons, there’s no denying it – the large displacement engines, the growls and howls, all coming from a stately machine that can transport a businessman and his family in complete luxury and comfort.  But for some of us petrolheads, there’s nothing quite like a wagon with all those attributes and then some.  Thankfully, Jaguar has obliged.

This is it, the Jaguar XFR-S Sportbrake, released today ahead of its Geneva Motor Show debut next month.  Jag R-S branded models have never been demure, and in sedan form, the bright blue XFR-S is nightmare inducing for some, and wet-dream inducing for most.  This turns the wick up a notch, with enough space for a family of 5 plus two Labradors in the back – with enough power to leave your eyeballs lodged somewhere in the back with Fido and Fred.

The 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine delivers 405kW and 680Nm of gut-wrenching power to the rear wheels via an 8-speed gearbox.  This, Jaguar says, should be good enough to shunt the wagon from standstill to 100km/h in 4.8 seconds and on to a top speed of 300km/h, electronically limited of course.

The XFR-S chassis has been specifically recalibrated for the Sportwagon’s use, and with up to 1675 litres of rear space available with the seats down, the recalibration will be welcome!

The Ultra Blue paintjob can be swapped out for Ultimate Black, Status Grey, Polaris White, or Italian Racing Red, but when you’ve got a wagon as bonkers as this, you may as well show off a bit with the bright blue, which accents the 20-inch lightweight Varuna forged alloys and black body detailing perfectly.

We know it may not be quicker, or as powerful as the Audi RS6 and Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake, but with a wailing supercharged V8 and looks like this, the Jag is bound to leave a lasting impression.  Wagon fans, this one is for you!
